 FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions

How many photos will we have

I can guarantee that there will be more than 80 good photos in one hour of the photo shoot. It is difficult to say more precisely because the amount depends not only on me but also on the rhythm of the day itself

We have no experience with photo shoots. We don’t know how to pose

Feeling awkward in front of the camera? You’re not alone!
I guide every couple through easy, natural posing — no stress, no stiff smiles. My method works 9 times out of 10, even if you’ve never done a photoshoot. Just enjoy each other — I’ll take care of the rest. And your photos will bring those memories back for years to come.

Do you do photo editing?

I do natural color correction of all good photos. If you don’t like the first color correction (you want the photos to be lighter, warmer, etc.), I’ll redo it! For some photos where it’s beautiful, I do black-and-white

Do you retouch photos?

After color correction is approved, I do basic retouching and remove unwanted objects in all photos. Also, you can select 15 photos from one hour for additional detailed retouching (skin, body plastic, etc.). For example, if the wedding lasted 3 hours, you can select up to 45 photos

How long do we have to wait for the finished photos

For photo shoots up to 3 weeks.
For weddings within 1 month.
Photo delivery via the online gallery on my website (private link).

Is it possible that the photos will be lost?

Photos are recorded simultaneously on two memory cards. If one of them breaks, there is a second one. Your photos will not be lost!

What if the camera breaks

I always have a second camera with me, so even if something goes wrong with the main one, the shoot won’t stop.

When is the best time to do a wedding photo shoot: before or after the ceremony

Depends on the schedule. My only recommendation is that it is better to choose a moment when the guests are not waiting for you. For example, before the ceremony or during the aperitif.

How does the weather affect a photo shoot?

The ideal weather is an overcast day. However, this does not mean that there will be bad photos in the bright sun. Modern cameras shoot well against the sun.

What if it rains?

If the rain is not very heavy and there is no wind, we can still continue the photo shoot; we just have to choose places where there is asphalt, because wet grass and earth will quickly stain shoes and clothes. It is better to have two identical umbrellas or one large (transparent or black).

How do I choose a location for a photo shoot?

I like it when there are at least two different locations for photo shoots (city hall inside + park; city streets + by the lake, etc.). You can see examples of the most popular locations in Geneva on my website in the BLOG section.

How to prepare for a wedding photo shoot

My general tips:

- Makeup should be a little “richer” than usual, because the camera “eats” it;
- Make sure in advance that your shoes do not rub your feet. If we’re shooting in a park, forest, or mountains, heels may not be the best choice. I advise you to bring a spare pair of flat shoes — like sneakers or ballet flats — just in case;
- For inspiration, look at examples of photos and poses (Pinterest, Instagram…)

How long does a wedding photo shoot last

The duration of the photo shoot depends on your preferences and schedule. The standard session lasts about 1 hour. If you’d like a few portraits of just the two of you but don’t want to spend too much time, I recommend setting aside at least 15 minutes

Do we need a meeting or a call before the wedding?

If needed, I hold face-to-face meetings with clients who have booked 5 or more hours (only in Geneva). But this is not necessary! In any case, it’s better to discuss all the important details in text so that I can return to the information before the wedding.
